The location
Paleros. Authentic Greece, full of life.
A harbour village on the mainland coast, facing Lefkas, Meganissi and Scorpios, and very much on the move.
What Paleros is
A real village, and a destination on the rise.
Paleros sits on a wide bay on the west coast of mainland Greece, with the Acarnanian mountains behind it and the Ionian islands in front. It is a real village, lived in all year, with a harbour, a square, a bakery and a lively boulevard of terraces, tavernas and restaurants.
In summer the waterfront buzzes from morning to late evening. During the day there are beaches to choose from, water sports in the bay and roads and paths into the hills for cycling and walking. In the evening everyone comes together along the water.
Paleros is also growing. New homes are being built, new projects are under way and a modern marina has been approved. The village keeps its authentic Greek character and relaxed atmosphere, while offering more every year to holidaymakers, residents and investors alike.
THEA PANORAMA lies on the hillside above the village. From there the whole bay is in view, and the harbour is only minutes away.

Boulevard and terraces
The waterfront boulevard is the heart of the village. On summer evenings it fills up with people strolling, terraces, cafés and cocktail bars, a few steps from the boats in the harbour.
Tavernas and restaurants
From family-run tavernas with fish straight off the boats to modern restaurants: eating out is one of the great pleasures of Paleros.
Beaches and water sports
The village beach is next to the harbour. Potamaki, Vathiavali and the long bay at Pogonia are a short drive away, with clear water for swimming, paddleboarding, kayaking and sailing.
Cycling and walking
Quiet coastal roads, olive groves and paths into the hills behind Paleros make the area ideal for cycling and walking, with views over the sea at every turn.
The islands
Meganissi, Scorpios, Kalamos and Kastos lie just offshore. This is some of the most popular sailing water in Greece, and a day boat is enough to explore it.
A village in development
New homes are being built, new projects are under way and a large new marina has been approved for Paleros. The village becomes more attractive every year, for holidaymakers and for people who want to live or invest here.
